ORIGINAL PRE-SINKING ISSUE POSTCARD
The pencilled postscript by 3rd class passenger, A (Alphonse) Meo to his offspring at Bournemouth England, which is a valid address, although I cannot confirm this to be his actual handwriting.
He sadly perished in the tragic sinking and was buried in the Nova Scotia graveyard along with the other ill-fated victims that were recovered.
Postage Stamp attached has genuine Queenstown postal cancellation stating 3.45pm April 11th, 1912. See zoom scan. ALL mail was so postally cancelled at 3.45pm from Queenstown Post Office,
but the stamp is not tied onto the postcard itself.
At angled light, the 'pressure' mark of part of the heavy stamp cancellation is impressed upon the front of the card. This re-inforces a level of genuinity knowing that at times the speed and level stamp accuracy of the postal workers - considering the bulk of items they had to deal with, could cause such a cancellation NOT to be tied to the postcard.
The Author Alphonse Meo was a 3rd class passenger and Violin Maker, He had previously sent a postcard from Cherbourg back to England addressed to his daughter. That went for Auction via one of England's leading Auction Houses for a high four figure amount in English pounds just over 14 years ago.

FRONT: Good. Surface clean, corners slightly rounded.
Angular prssure creases all corners from long term album storage. Inward crease 1.5 cm lower right corner - visual effect most visible when viewed at rear of postcard
REAR: - As per scan, some age discolourisation, pencilled postscript. Zoomed image of postage stamp and postmark
